I'd love to hear more about how you managed all of these materials with 1st graders! For example, did kids bring the index cards and markers to the rug to write about what they knew about stories and just do it right on the rug? Did they actually have the cards already tied onto the string when you sent them off to make their "stories on a string"? Thank you!
